Nivar Tatwam.

Accommodations:

We will be staying at various hotels throughout the Himalayas. More information on where we’ll be as we move closer to September.

Travel:

Our retreat begins at 4pm on September 8th. Easiest thing to do is fly into Indira Gandhi International Airport. From there, fly to Dehradun Airport where a car will pick you up and take you to our hotel in Rishikesh. I can help you do this when you make your arrangements.

I recommend arriving a day or two early to adjust to the time zone. I also recommend staying in Rishikesh for a few days after our trip to rest and integrate before heading home.

India:

We’ll be in northern India at the foot of the Himalayas, and into the Himalayas. We’ll be taking cars and helicopters to our destinations and also lots of walking and hiking. Be prepared for hiking in high altitude. It will take a few days to acclimate to the altitude but we’ll be ascending slowly so everyone can adjust. Expect lots of different kinds of weather with lots of flucuation in temperatures. Bring layers sweaters and puffy jackets. We will also be wearing traditional India clothing at temples and bathing in rivers. Be prepared for everything.

Covid, Visas and additional information:

We will have Covid tests on hand. We encourage everyone to wear a mask on the flight as a precaution before the trip. Once on the trip, we will be outside so much that the risk of Covid diminishes greatly. We’ll text everyone in Rishikesh before leaving. Your health is your responsibility. No refunds will be made if you get Covid so we highly recommend getting travel insurance.

Your passport MUST be valid up to 6 months after our finish date. You will also need a visa. You can do a “visa on arrival” but we recommend getting one before the trip. If you know you’re going to return to India I highly suggested applying for a 10 year or 5 year visa.
